Pre-Operative Screening

If you decide to proceed with surgery, we require a deposit of $400 to begin the process. This comes off your final total due.

We require several tests to be performed to determine your suitability for surgery and provide you with referrals for the following;

• Routine Blood Tests (Fasting)
• Chest Xray
• ECG

The tests can be done at locations of your choice but we recommend several locations that offer bulk-billing.

Once these tests are completed, you have an appointment with our Respiratory Physicians to asses Cardiac, Anesthetic & Sleep Apnea risks.

You will receive a large portion of this back through Medicare. We will discuss costs with you before these are done so you are fully aware of the process.

You will also have a face-to-face appointment with one of our Dietitians to discuss several factors. This includes your pre-operative and post-operative diet, as well as helpful tips for your weight-loss journey.
