Post-Operative Care
The feedback we have received in the 15 years of operating has highlighted the importance of post-operative care and education.
Nurse Support
Once you are discharged from hospital, one of our nursing staff will be in contact with you to check-in. Although you will have been well informed prior to your surgery date, the Nurses will cover;
- Fluid, protein and vitamin intake
- Pain management
- Medications
- Wound care
- Bowel care
- Movement and activity restrictions
Surgeon Support
You will have routine review appointments with your surgeon to ensure the best recovery possible.
The first follow up will be approximately 6 weeks post-surgery; you will be informed of this appointment by our Nurses.
The remaining follow-up appointments will be made to suit our patient’s schedule with all reviews being bulk-billed with a valid GP referral.
Dietitian Support
As part of the Service Fee our patients are entitled to 4 appointments with our Accredited Practicing Dietitian.
The post-operative appointments will discuss lifestyle and dietary changes, as well as answering any questions you may have about your diet.
These appointments can be in-rooms or via telehealth.
Patients are encouraged to contact our rooms if they have questions about ANY aspect of their recovery at ANY stage with no additional fees.
