Mr. Liang Low
Specialist Obesity Surgeon
Mr. Liang Low joined our practice many years ago. He is a Monash University graduate and after attaining his general surgical fellowship he completed his extensive post-fellowship training in Oxford UK, where he was the Fellow in oesophago-gastric surgery at the John Radcliffe Hospital.
He is the clinical lead for the Upper GI surgery group at Monash Health as well as the Southern Metropolitan Intergrated Cancer Service.
He specialises in upper gastro-intestinal surgery, hiatus hernia repair and has a special interest in upper GI and laparoscopic surgery, including bariatric surgery.
Liang performs his bariatric surgery at Cabrini Malvern.
Mr. Hamish Shilton
Specialist Obesity Surgeon
Mr. Hamish Shilton graduated from Monash University in 2007, then obtained his fellowship in General Surgery in 2017.
After gaining his fellowship in General Surgery, Hamish completed his specialized training in Upper Gastro-Intestinal and Obesity Surgery in New Zealand and the United Kingdom through the Australian & New Zealand Gastric and Oesophageal Surgery Association (ANZGOSA).
Hamish joins our Complete Weight Loss Solutions team with special interest and experience in Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy and Laparoscopic Gastric By-Pass surgery and Endoscopy.
He is happy to discuss the bariatric surgical option most appropriate to you and to help you to reach your weight loss goals.
Hamish operates at Cabrini Hospital Malvern.
Mr. Dan Foley
Specialist Obesity Surgeon
Mr Dan Foley has joined our practice and he is a specialist general surgeon who has trained in Australia and the United Kingdom.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Adelaide in 2008 and then undertook specialist training in General Surgery largely at the Alfred Hospital.
Subsequent to completing his General Surgery Fellowship he received additional training and experience in Upper GI surgery at Monash Medical Centre, and braved 2 years of English weather to gain further experience at the Guys Hospital and St Thomas’ Hospital in London
Dan’s main interests include weight loss surgery including sleeve gastrectomy and gastric bypass and he predominantly operates at Epworth Hospital – Richmond.
Dan has also trained in the insertion of the Allurion Balloon and would be happy to discuss whether this is an option for you.
He would be more that happy to consult with you and determine the best way forward with your weight loss goals.
Dr. Adam Janson
Medical Director
Dr Adam Janson graduated from Monash University in 1986, gaining diverse experience in many areas of the medial arena, he then settled into Emergency Medicine. After completing a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration in 1993, his expertise in the emergency field led Dr Janson to the Cabrini Emergency Department where he was responsible for the design & management of the Department. Dr Janson continues to work both in the clinical & management aspects of Cabrini Emergency.
Complete Weight Loss Solutions evolved from Dr Janson’s insights & experience, to create an uncomplicated and safe path for patients choosing bariatric surgery. Along with the management of CWLS, Dr Janson supports our patients with their weight loss journey.
Mr. Roger Berry
Specialist Obesity Surgeon
Mr. Roger Berry graduated from Monash University in 1986 and gained his fellowship in General Surgery in 1996. He completed a certificate in transplant surgery in 1999 and has been active as a visiting specialist in General, Laparoscopic, Upper Gastro Intestinal surgery (UGI) & Hepatic Pancreatic & Biliary (HPB) surgery.
Mr Berry has extensive laparoscopic experience, ranging from gallbladder & biliary surgery, laparoscopic hernia surgery, laparoscopic appendicectomy to advanced laparoscopic surgery of the liver, pancreas & stomach.
He has developed clinical expertise in laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding for the surgical treatment of obesity.
Mr Berry operates at both Cabrini Hospital Malvern & Cabrini Hospital Brighton.
Mr. Paul Ah-Tye
Specialist Obesity Surgeon
Mr Paul Ah-Tye was awarded his Fellowship in General surgery in 2002, and later that year was also awarded an upper gastro-intestinal fellowship with Monash Medical Centre.
Mr Ah-Tye is a well-established surgeon with experience in Laparoscopic & Upper GI surgery and has been treating obese patients with laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding since 2008.
Mr Ah-Tye operates at St John of God Hospital in Berwick & Cabrini Malvern Hospital among others.
