Mr. Liang Low – Leading Bariatric and Upper GI Surgeon in Melbourne

Mr. Liang Low is a Melbourne-based specialist in bariatric and upper gastrointestinal surgery. A graduate of Monash University, he completed his general surgical fellowship before undertaking further post-fellowship training in Oxford, UK, where he was the Fellow in Oesophago-Gastric Surgery at the John Radcliffe Hospital.

He currently serves as the clinical lead for the Upper GI Surgery group at Monash Health and is involved in regional service development through the Southern Metropolitan Integrated Cancer Service.

Mr. Low’s clinical focus includes upper GI procedures, laparoscopic surgery, and bariatric surgery for weight management. He performs bariatric procedures such as gastric sleeve and bypass surgery at Cabrini Malvern, with a focus on patient safety, evidence-based care, and long-term support.
